Kabbalah numerology emerges from Jewish mysticism and its Gematria system, which assigns numerical values to Hebrew letters. Unlike Pythagorean or Chaldean numerology, Kabbalah focuses almost entirely on the name — specifically what it calls the 'Name Number' — and interprets it through the lens of the Kabbalistic Tree of Life and the ten Sephiroth (divine emanations). The birth date plays a secondary role.

Modern Kabbalah Numerology
Contemporary Kabbalah numerology (especially the popular version circulated since the 1990s) adapts the system to the Latin alphabet and focuses on 22 paths connecting the Sephiroth — mirroring the 22 Hebrew letters and 22 Major Arcana of the Tarot. It analyses the name to find the 'Name Number' and correlates it with one of the 22 paths for interpretation. Traditional Kabbalistic scholars often distinguish this from classical Gematria.
