What Neecha Means in Your Chart
Neecha (नीच) means debilitation — the sign exactly opposite a planet's exaltation, where it is at its weakest. A debilitated planet struggles to deliver its significations and often causes problems for the houses it rules or occupies. However, Neecha is not always devastating: the Neecha Bhanga (cancellation of debility) rules can rescue a debilitated planet and even convert it into a powerful Raja Yoga indicator.

Working with Neecha Planets
A debilitated planet's Dasha will expose its weakness — expect failures in the areas it rules. But first check Neecha Bhanga: if the debilitated planet's dispositor is in a Kendra, or if the planet that would be exalted in that sign is also in a Kendra, the debilitation is cancelled and often produces Raja Yoga. Also check Navamsha — a debilitated D-1 planet exalted in D-9 performs much better than expected in the relevant life area.
